Once more, into the breach.Posted: May 12, 2011
Earlier this week, I finished “doctoring” Trap’s High Falls screenplay. It’s still a little on the short side (we need more scenes! more good scenes!), but it’s shaping up to be a fun script.
Trap’s been busy locking down actors and locations and putting together a schedule. If things keep on this way (fingers crossed), we’ll be rolling by July.
Good music (including a Delicate Cutters tune) for a good cause: all proceeds from the sales of The Wind Will Carry the Voice of the People will support the Red Cross’s
efforts to rebuild areas of Alabama damaged by the tornadoes of April 27.
Here’s an interesting idea for a dolly design. Too bad it’s so damn expensive. I mean, if I’m using an aluminum ladder as dolly track, I probably can’t afford to spend $1,000 on the dolly itself.
This video of a guy using a jetpack to fly over the Grand Canyon would be a lot more impressive if he didn’t have to use a helicopter for takeoff and a parachute for landing.
Mac OS X antivirus software roundup from Lifehacker.com. The real interesting part is in the comments, where some folks are debating whether or not there are any real OS X viruses “in the wild.” Based on my limited research, all of these OS X viruses require you to voluntarily install them. Or at least voluntarily install pirated or otherwise shady software that contains a virus. So, if you are a Mac user, don’t do that.
